Konishi Koi Farm which was established in the Taisho era (in the 1910s) is one of the oldest koi dealers in the world. It has been involved in the production and sales of Nishikigoi since Mr. Kakuichi Konishi built up the farm. Konishi Koi Farm has a long history as a koi dealer, and at the same time it has dealt with many beautiful koi called "celebrated koi." It rendered great services in the promotion of Nishikigoi. In the nationwide contests many koi of its own producing and handling were awarded the grand championships. It also receives honorable prizes in overseas contests.

Toshikatsu Konishi of the second generation was the first to bring the brilliant achievement. He built up the head office at Misasa-cho, Hiroshima, contributed himself to the spread of Nishikigoi not only in Japan but overseas, and gave numerous wonderful koi to the public. Also he rendered great services for a long time by doing his duty as the director of All Japan Nishikigoi Dealers Association and by being involved in the promotion of Nishikigoi.

The present president, Joji Konishi of the third generation, pays attention to the sales of their homebred koi by fixing excellent lineage. The head office was rebuilt by him in 1993.
